Starting from zero, they even sacrifice their house, playing a role as a manager, a clerk, an accountant and also a receptionist. Ethical consciousness

            Ethic has broad meaning, depending on the situation or places where you implementing it. It differ starts from geographical area, culture, people and so on. It also defines the awareness of someone either being ethical enough in running a business or not. Ethical consciousness is about involve and expressing moral approval or vice versa or in other word following what he thinks is right and normal in the society. Also, it is about what an entrepreneur can give back to society as a result for his success.

       Just like Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar al-Bukhary who established a foundation called al-Bukhary foundation. This foundation focus more on education because he came from a poor family where facility to study is very limited. Come from this awareness, he focus more for education and the rest is divided into a few categories such as welfare and development, cultural programmed religion and etc. This definitely helps to release the burden of the less fortunate. Even in Islam, helping people in need, Allah SWT has promised to double the reward. The hand that gives is greater than that received.

Ability to Learn from Mistakes

            In order to become a great entrepreneur, ones must have the ability to learn from mistakes. In other word, he should not give up easily. Without this traits, an entrepreneur is not an entrepreneur because able to learn from mistakes is a knowledge that you can’t never get from books. What make an entrepreneur is different from other is on how he tackle the problem, figuring out the solution, adapting with the business challenge and so on. In business environment, experience is the mother of knowledge. A student with theory on how to run a business can’t be same with people who have been in the industry for years because the knowledge he gain through it makes him more valuable than a student with the only theory of fact.

         Sometimes, even when you think you are ready for a business, but the fact is the experience you gain still not enough to manage the business. For this case, meet Nurul Diana Binti Mohd Pudzi, founder of Dian Pixy. At first, she runs a small business of cosmetic product. Until she think she is ready to start up a business, she go for it. What she expects to gain more profit didn’t seem to happen the way it is. She starts to feel disappointed. Until she met a mentor that totally change the way of how she manage her business. From that, she knows what she had done wrong and starts all over again. For the first three months, she starts to gain more than she expect. And now, Dian Floral Mask has been exported through all Malaysia and also to neighbor country.

Integrity and Reliability

Integrity is doing something right when other people are not doing what it should be. This action not only covers only daily life but also must be implemented in business area. It is the ability to be honest and consistently doing the right things. To be a good entrepreneur, ones should have high integrity in himself. Without it, they tend to do immoral activity such as cheating for the quality of goods, setting higher price for lower grade product and so on. And for Muslim, integrity has been stressed out on how a Muslim should have integrity in whatever he does. 

Recently, Malaysia government has implement goods and services tax or (GST) where all goods and services will be charged of six percent tax. Aware of the people burden, Dato Ameer Ali Mydin (Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd.) has taken an initiative to absorb all six percent of the goods and services tax (GST). People can buy their grocery without worrying their bills will be charged with higher price. This indirectly releases the burden of groups who cannot afford with the implementation of the tax.
